Close Relations / Im Garten der Ungetauften (2019)

Close Relations is an installation piece consisting of a grouping of plaster-cast sugar bowl lids. It is mounted into the earth with metal rods and arranged in patterns resembling the ephemeral mushroom growth called ‘Witch Circles’. The piece addresses the juxtaposition of natural and man-made in forms and contents.

Die ephemere Installation im Garten der Ungetauften beschreibt eine Ansammlung von aus Gips nach geformten Zuckerdosendeckeln. Diese sind in ihrer scheinbar gewachsenen Formierung an Wachstumsringe von Pilzen angelehnt und in sogenannten 'Hexenkreisen´ angeordnet. Die Installation thematisiert das Nebeneinander von natürlichen und menschengemachten Formen und Inhalten.
